My name is Marcus Reuss, and I am a mechanical engineer that graduated in 2025 from the university of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. I grew up in Waterloo, Ontario surrounded by the projects made by students and professors at the University of Waterloo, sealing my fate by encouraging “the knack”.
“The Knack”, it's a rare condition characterized by an extreme intuition characterized by all things mechanical and electrical.
…and utter social ineptitude.
- Dilbert (1999)
During my time in university, I had the opportunity to explore many fields of engineering by participating in events such as the Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) and the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC). Recently I have taken up in interest in semiconductor fabrication and became one of the earliest members of the University of Waterloo branch of HackerFab.
With the work and projects, I have taken part in I have gained valuable experience with computer aided design software such as SolidWorks, OnShape, AutoCAD, Ansys Mechanical. I have experience in rapid design and prototyping and additive manufacturing. In addition to this I have gained project management experience, in addition to leadership experience.
